Something broken at your shul? Text us what and where — a leak, a light out, a broken door. We'll text back to confirm and keep you updated about that request.
By texting (845) 622-8484 you agree to receive text messages from Shamushim Services about your maintenance requests (a confirmation, status updates and questions). Message frequency varies, typically 2–4 messages per request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of service — you can also call the office or use the customer portal. See our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms. We never share your number or opt-in data with third parties for marketing.

How customers opt in
- You send the first text to (845) 622-8484 describing the problem. Nobody is added to our text line any other way.
- We reply once to confirm: “Shamushim Services: Got it — your request is #11. We'll keep you posted. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
- Further texts are only about that request — status updates, a question about the work, and “done”.
- Reply STOP at any time; you get one confirmation and nothing more. Reply START to opt back in.
How staff opt in
Our employees can choose to get their daily job list by text. It is optional and not a condition of employment — staff who don't sign up see the same list in the staff app. A staff member opts in themselves, in the staff app under Profile → Daily job list by text: they enter their mobile number and tick an unchecked box that reads:
“Text me my daily job list from Shamushim Services at (845) 622-8484. About 1–2 texts per working day. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Optional — not required for my job.”
The first text confirms the sign-up and repeats how to stop. Staff can untick the box or reply STOP at any time.
